  1. 01The subject

    The brief

Small makers often sell through marketplaces that make every product look the same. We explored a shop that tells the story of each piece while keeping buying simple.

Pieces are often one-offs or small batches, so stock and availability had to be clear.

  2. 02Palette and type

    Design direction

Product photography on the same shelf and in the same light, so the collection reads as a family.

Each product page leads with the piece, then a short note on clay, glaze and making, then dimensions, care and delivery.

Checkout stays short and familiar; character lives in the browsing, not in unusual forms.

  3. 03Structure

    Implementation

So far the exploration is a visual direction and the home page mockup shown on this page; product and story pages are planned, not designed.

If built, it would use an established ecommerce platform for payments and stock, with a custom front end for the browsing experience.

Ongoing care would cover new collections, seasonal updates and keeping the platform secure.

  4. 04The concept

    Outcome

This is a studio exploration, not a client project. It hasn't been launched, so there are no results to report.

It sharpened how we approach small ecommerce: invest in photography consistency and product stories, and keep checkout boringly reliable.
